Everyone’s Frozen today…even Disney!

Every time I’m abroad and there’s a Disney store, I swear I have to go in everyday, just a quick round look at all the stuff and back out. I was away a few weeks ago and there was this quaint little Disney store, right in my face so needless to say, I went in everyday. (Luckily, my boyfriend loves Disney just as much as I do)

There I saw stuff from their new movie ‘Frozen’ and the main character, a Disney princess in the future for sure, is so sweet looking that I knew I’d like the movie. It’s released today in the US and all I’ve seen is the trailer and heard the official soundtrack by Demi Lovato but I’m already loving it. It’s basically about a village which is turned from a summer paradise to a frozen land by the main character’s sister. Then the girl attempts to save her village by stopping it from freezing completely. Something on those lines, at least!

If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m a huge Disney fan, so every time a really good Disney movie comes out, I’m super excited. I also love how the girls are now all feisty as opposed to the whole prince saving the day thing, though I do miss a damsel in distress story every now and again. I hope they don’t take it to the extreme and make the girls all awesome now and the boys all wimpy.

What do you think of Disney? Are you eager for the new movie to come out?

A couple of favourites!

I’ve been meaning to write this for about two weeks now actually.  I took the photos but never had the time to sit down and actually write the post but luckily I do today, so here we are.  I’ve compiled a few favourite stuff I’ve been loving, most are beauty stuff and there’s some jewellery too.

1.Blistex Daily Conditioning Treatment

I’ve had this for a while now but have only started using it recently.  I am not a fan of the whole glossy thing on my lips, in fact I rarely wear lip gloss, stick to stains or lipsticks.  But I’ve been applying this before I go to bed and let me tell you, it’s amazing.  I am a huge Vaseline fan but this is seriously taking it’s place.  Not only does it help with chapped lips, and you actually feel it working, but it smells of the beach!!! It’s kind of a weird smell to explain but it’s sort of reminds me of sand and sunblock in a good way.  The tub is a bit too tiny so it might be a bit messy if you’ve got long nails but it’s perfect for popping into a handbag pocket!

2. Redherring Rose Gold Watch

One of the perks of working at a huge store is that you get to pick up little stuff as soon as they go on sale.  That’s what I did with this watch.  It’s by Redherring, a brand at Debenhams and it’s such a pretty rose gold that I had to buy it.  Also, it was at 70% off! I’ve got a couple of stuff in rose gold and have been looking for a matching watch for ages when I saw this go on sale and I just had to have it.  The little butterflies are so cute and it’s not too huge so perfect for my tiny wrist.

3. Beauty Formulas Rejuvenating Glorious Mud Deep Cleansing Facial Mask

Wow, that’s a mouthful.  I got this face mask from the health shop at my University just because I felt like getting a face mask and it was quite cheap.  I honestly never buy any beauty product unless I read about it like my life depends on it.  I think I research stuff like that more than I research anything else.  I am just very careful with what I put on my face.  But I felt like being a ‘rebel’ and got this.  I honestly thought it would not really make much different. But boy-oh-boy wasn’t I wrong! It’s actually very deep cleansing yet not too harsh on my skin and doesn’t clamp up on my face making it difficult to take off.  I honestly have been using this once a week for over a month now and I see cleaner skin every time I use it.  It’s not really a well-known brand but it works for me and I think that’s the most important.

4. KIKO Lipstick – Number 43

If you’ve been anywhere in Italy you’ve probably heard of this brand.  It’s an Italian brand of high street make-up.  Locally we have Inglot and WjCon, which are both similar.  I got this on a trip to Venice and I’ve been loving it ever since.  I’ve been looking for a pink lipstick for ages. It’s pinker than it came out in the picture, an almost baby pink, and it’s just lovely on the lips.  It’s also very moisturising which I love and the packaging looks so posh (when it really only cost a few Euro).  The only thing I hate is that it only has a number, no name.  I love make-up names as their usually so witty and cool.  Other than that…I LOVE!

That’s it folks! Have a great weekend,

Little Green Monster!

No, I’m not talking about jealousy.  I’m talking about Dolce&Gabbana’s new lipstick.  Wait, let me clarify, I’m talking about their green lipstick.  I gave myself a 30 minute break and browsed beauty blogs and sites today and all I came across was green, green, green! Now I hate green.  I don’t know where this hatred came from but I hate the poor colour.  I once scooped mint ice-cream off a plate because it was just too green to be on my plate. (I know, I sound crazy) But surprisingly, I think I like the colour on lips.  I think it will take a couple of particular people to pull it off and I think the darker your skin tone the more chance you have of pulling it off.

What do you think? Would you wear the colour on your lips?  I think if the trend picks up a little more, I might give it a go!

The packaging is so cool! Sort of reminds me of the Crown Jewels in London!

Rihanna pulls it off, doesn't she? Can the rest of us?

Sweet Video!

I came across this video just now and I think it’s so sweet and worth sharing. It’s basically about these two girls…wait, I’ll let you watch it’s better!

I love these sort of videos. I don’t know why they make me so emotional but they are so sweet and I can spend hours on YouTube going through stuff like this!

Enjoy!

Winter Favourites – Shoes

Winter Favourites - Shoes
I did a post a few weeks ago on coats similar to this one and I got plenty of great comments so I thought why not do this again but with shoes?
I love shoes though I’m not really a shoe-crazy person.  I honestly think that the above styles are what I wear most.  The brown brogues and blue pumps are my go-to shoes for Uni.  I love the look with skinny jeans or tights and the brogues particularly give that preppy touch which is perfect for a day at Uni where I have to look a little bit more sophisticated.
The other flat shoe I chose is the black suede ankle booties.  I have a similar pair in brown though I’m looking for black ones.  For those who don’t know, I’m very, very short (4ft10) and I realised that wearing really long boots only make me look shorter.  These ankle boots make my legs look a wee bit longer, plus I love how they look with tights.
The two shoes left are my going-out shoes.  Black wedges are honestly what I wear all winter.  They are super comfy compared to stilettos and I love pairing them with skater dresses or jeans and a blazer.
Finally, red stilettos!  I love red in Winter, especially round Christmas time.  I love wearing all black and then throw in a red lip and my killer read stilettos.  I also have  a pair of wedges where they’re all black with the wedge part in red, yeah, best of both worlds right?
What’s your favourite pair of shoes in Winter?

Short Sunday Post!

Hey! Another Sunday evening! I had a great weekend but I’m dreading the week to come as I have a thousand ends to tie up and I need to concentrate hard all week.  I have an awesome post planned too though I need to dedicate some time playing around with pictures so I didn’t want to do it now for the sake of doing it.  Keep your eyes open for this particular post, it’s going to be a fun one.

I’m hooked on Breaking Bad at the moment.  Yes, I’ve started another series.  I honestly think I have some sort of addiction at this point and I don’t think there’s a way back.  I blame my Mum.  As a kid I remember her watching X-Files and ER and she would make me look away because I was so young.  And it always intrigued me as too why she would be so interested in the stories.  Well, Ma, now I know how you felt and I totally understand.

It’s also November which means I might do a sort of what I loved last month post or something of the sort.  So yeah, stay tuned, there’s loads to come this week!

P.S. Sorry if this post is all over the place, I’m dead tired!
